Dhaka, Oct 06 (V7N)— The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a storm alert for 13 districts, forecasting the possibility of gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. River ports in these regions have been advised to display the number one warning signal.
The forecast, which applies to inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm, warns of potential rain or thunderstorms accompanied by winds moving from the south/southwest at speeds of 45-60 km/h.
The districts affected by this alert include Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet.
Residents in these areas, especially those near river ports, have been urged to exercise caution due to the potential for sudden gusty winds and stormy weather.
