Dhaka, Oct 27 (V7N)— The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to drizzling rain in parts of the country. According to the forecast issued on Sunday morning by meteorologist Manowar Hossain, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions are likely to experience some rainfall over the next 24 hours, starting at 9 AM today.

The BMD noted that the depression over North Orissa and surrounding areas has weakened into a low-pressure system and moved north-northwestward. As a result, other parts of the country will likely remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky during this period.

Looking ahead, the forecast suggests a possibility of rain accompanied by gusty winds or thunderstorms in Rajshahi, Rangpur, and parts of the Dhaka division from 9 AM on Tuesday. Meanwhile, dry weather with scattered clouds will likely continue in other regions.

On Saturday, Feni recorded the highest temperature in the country at 34.5°C, while Tentulia in Panchagarh registered the lowest temperature of 20.3°C early Sunday morning.

The Met Office predicts that day and night temperatures will remain relatively stable across the country. However, a slight increase in daytime temperatures is expected on Monday, while night temperatures are likely to remain unchanged. Similar temperature patterns are forecast for Tuesday, with no significant fluctuations.
