Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N) — A seasonal low-pressure system is currently positioned over the South Bay of Bengal, extending over the Northeast Bay. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department's latest 72-hour forecast indicates light rainfall in parts of Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, with daytime and nighttime temperatures remaining mostly stable.

According to the forecast, the low-pressure influence may bring temporary gusty winds, rain, or thunderstorms across regions of Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet, along with isolated areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal within the next 24 hours, beginning at 6 am on Tuesday. The forecast also notes a potential decrease in day and night temperatures across the country, with light to moderate fog likely to appear over river basin areas.

Moving into Wednesday, light rain may affect isolated locations in the Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. The night temperatures might see a slight increase, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain stable. Morning fog could also be present in certain areas.

Looking ahead, the extended five-day forecast hints at the possibility of rainfall towards the end of the period.
