Dhaka, Nov 24 (V7N)— A distinct low-pressure system over the Southeast Bay of Bengal is currently stationary in the same area and has the potential to intensify further, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department. The system's influence extends to the northern Bay of Bengal, as per the latest 72-hour forecast issued Sunday morning.
The forecast indicates that the weather across the country may remain dry, with a partly cloudy sky expected. Light to moderate fog may form in some areas from late night to early morning. Additionally, a slight drop in both day and night temperatures is anticipated.
For Monday, similar weather conditions are forecast, with dry weather and partly cloudy skies prevailing. Light to moderate fog is likely in isolated areas during the late-night and early-morning hours. Temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
By Tuesday, the dry and partly cloudy weather is predicted to persist, with night and day temperatures staying stable.
The extended five-day forecast suggests the possibility of rain in some areas later in the week, signaling a potential change in current weather conditions.
Residents are advised to stay updated on further announcements from the Meteorological Department as the low-pressure system evolves.
