Dhaka, Jan 22 (V7N) — The subcontinental high-pressure area continues to affect West Bengal and adjacent regions, while the seasonal normal low-pressure area remains situated in the south Bay of Bengal, extending into the north Bay of Bengal, according to the Meteorological Department.

In its 72-hour forecast starting from 9 am on Wednesday, the department reported that the lowest temperatures in the country were recorded at 11.5°C in Srimangal and Tentulia.

The weather is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies across the country on Thursday.

Light to moderate fog may occur late Friday night through the morning hours.

Five-Day Outlook: The extended forecast suggests a possible drop in both day and night temperatures, bringing cooler conditions in the coming days.
