Dhaka, Feb 20 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in parts of the country over the next three days, while most areas will experience dry and partly cloudy weather.

According to the 72-hour forecast issued at 9 AM on Thursday, the western low-pressure system is currently over West Bengal, while the seasonal normal low is positioned over the southern Bay of Bengal.

Thursday (Feb 20): Rain or thundershowers may occur in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions. The weather will remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere. Srimangal recorded the lowest temperature at 13.6°C today.

Friday (Feb 21): Rain or thundershowers may occur at one or two places in the Sylhet division. The rest of the country is expected to have partly cloudy and dry weather, with light to moderate fog from late night to early morning.

Saturday (Feb 22): Light rain or thundershowers may affect Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, while other regions will see dry and partly cloudy skies.

The night and day temperatures across the country are expected to remain mostly unchanged. The extended five-day forecast does not indicate any significant weather changes.
