"People have been enduring bitter cold and dense fog in the country's north and northwest which has complicated daily living"

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department reports that on Saturday morning, 8.8°C was the lowest temperature ever recorded in the country in Dinajpur.

Over the past few days, people in the country's northern and northwest regions have been dealing with extreme cold and thick fog, which has disrupted daily life.

There's a chance that the country may have dry weather with sporadic cloud cover.

Over the nation, moderate to thick fog is possible from midnight to dawn, with patches of it lasting until noon. Fog can cause temporary disruptions to road communication, inland river transport, and air navigation.

The country's night and daytime temperatures might not alter much. It's anticipated that cold days will predominate across the nation.

The districts of Kishoreganj, Pabna, Dinajpur, and Chuadanga are being affected by a mild cold wave, and it might persist.

A mild cold wave is defined as 8°C to 10°C, a moderate cold wave as 6°C to 8°C, and a severe cold wave as less than 6°C.
