Dhaka, Sep 16 (V7N) — The Meteorological Department has issued a storm warning for eight districts in Bangladesh, forecasting wind speeds of up to 60 km per hour. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for gusty winds accompanied by rain or thundershowers throughout the day.
The weather forecast, which covers inland river ports, states that between 9:30 am and 6 pm today, regions including Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, and Chittagong could experience winds from the south/southeast at speeds ranging from 45 to 60 km per hour.
As a precaution, river ports in these regions have been asked to display the number one warning signal, urging caution for all vessels. The Meteorological Department has advised citizens in affected areas to remain alert and follow safety guidelines during the weather event.
