Dhaka, Sep 03 (V7N) – A man named Sami was allegedly killed by his stepbrother during a family dispute in the capital’s West Kalachandpur on Tuesday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, an altercation broke out between the two brothers in the evening. At one stage, elder brother Jane Alam struck Sami with a stick, leaving him critically injured. Locals later rescued Sami and took him to Kurmitola General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Eyewitness and cousin Monir Hossain told reporters that the two stepbrothers had long been embroiled in family disputes. “This incident happened as a result of that long-standing feud,” he said.

Police said that a drive has already been launched to arrest the accused, Jane Alam. “Efforts are underway to bring him into custody,” an officer confirmed.
