In an anti-crime operation, members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained an accused drug dealer in the Naogaon district last night after seizing 135 kg of ganja.

RAB officials stated on Wednesday, January 10 afternoon that the apprehended person was identified as Abdul Shukur, 28, son of the late Liakat Ali of the Shantirhat locality under the Patia Police Station in Chattogram district.

Following a tip, a RAB squad raided the Fatehpur area under Manda upazila in the Naogaon district at around 3.30 am in a covered vehicle and apprehended him with the hemp on the spot, according to RAB sources.

The arrested person gave the police the confiscated illegal products.

In this regard, a case was reported to the Manda Police Station.
