An accused top-listed drug dealer carrying 5.1 kg of heroin was apprehended by members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the Chapainawabganj district yesterday at midnight during a campaign against crime.

According to RAB sources on Friday afternoon, the arrested person was identified as 38-year-old Roksana Begum, the wife of Muhammad Alam from Char Kodalkati village in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.

Last night around 9:30 p.m., an elite force squad raided her home in response to a tip and apprehended her. After conducting a thorough search of the home, the crew found the illegal substances, according to Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous, the Commanding Officer of RAB-5.

In this regard, a case was filed with the Chapainawabganj Sadar authorities Station, and the authorities received the arrested individual and the seized items.
