Habiganj, Oct 19 (V7N)- A patrol team from Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested four individuals, including a woman, in Madhavpur on charges of attempting to illegally enter India. The operation was conducted by a team from Dharmaghar BOP under Sarail Battalion (25 BGB) in the Santoshpur border area of Madhavpur Upazila on Saturday at around 12:30 pm, based on secret information.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ranggomong Sarkar (43), his wife Bandana Sarkar (40), their daughter Lucky Sarkar (17), and Krishna Dasi Sarkar (30), the wife of Bimal Sarkar. All of them are from Durgapur village in Andiura Union of Madhavpur Upazila, Habiganj district.

Lt. Col. Farah Mohammad Imtiaz, Commander of Sarail Battalion (25 BGB), confirmed the arrests and stated that a case has been filed against the individuals at Madhavpur police station for their attempted illegal crossing into India.
