Khulna, Dec 03 (V7N) — Security has been significantly tightened at the Indian Assistant High Commission office in Khulna following a violent incident at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, India.
The Diplomatic Security Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) initiated enhanced security protocols on Monday night, with further reinforcements deployed by Tuesday evening.
Police sources confirmed that additional personnel have been stationed around the embassy premises on Shamsur Rahman Road. Alongside the police, army personnel were seen on duty outside the Assistant Indian High Commission, ensuring the safety of the area.
These measures come as part of efforts to maintain diplomatic security and prevent any untoward incidents. Local authorities have assured that the situation remains under control, with round-the-clock vigilance in place.
