Bagerhat, May 20 (V7N) – A workshop on the National Early Action Protocol for Cyclone in Bangladesh was held in Bagerhat today, Tuesday afternoon. The "Cyclone Early Action Protocol Sharing Workshop" was organized by Bagerhat Tourism Motel and Youth in a Service Human Welfare Center (SMKK).
Bagerhat District Commissioner Ahmed Kamrulhasan was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Local Government Branch Deputy Director Dr. Md. Fakrulhasan, Agricultural Extension Department Deputy Director Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, District Livestock Officer Mohammad Saheb Ali, Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Executive Officer S. M. Musafizur Rahman, and Bagerhat Press Club President Md. Kamruzzaman.
Members of the District Disaster Management Committee, NGO representatives, journalists, and representatives from various government departments attended the workshop. SMKK Director (Programs and Operations) Md. Waliullah provided a brief presentation on the STEP project, while Mahmud Minar, Project Manager at United Purpose, gave a concise presentation on the protocol for cyclone preparedness activities.
Md. Masud Rana concluded the workshop on cyclone preparedness protocols by thanking all participants on behalf of the organizing body.
