Madhabpur, Aug 10 (V7N) – The Madhabpur Press Club has organized a human chain protest demanding swift justice for the brutal murder of Dainik Protidiner Kagoj staff reporter Asaduzzaman Tuhin. The protest took place in front of the press club at 11:30 AM on Sunday.

Tuhin was reportedly killed in a gruesome manner at the Mosque Market area in the Chourasta locality of Gazipur.

Speakers at the protest strongly condemned the ongoing violence against journalists in Bangladesh. They cited the long-standing lack of justice in high-profile cases, including the unresolved murders of journalists Sagar and Runi, as part of a broader pattern of impunity. Protesters warned that if immediate legal action is not taken and justice is not delivered in Tuhin’s case and others, a more intense, nationwide movement would follow.

The demonstration was attended by journalists and press club members, including the club's vice president Abul Khayer, former president Rokon Uddin Laskar, Amar Desh reporter Ala Uddin Al Roni, Ittefaq correspondent Shankar Pal Suman, My TV reporter Rajib Dev Roy Raju, and Bangla TV reporter Hamidur Rahman, among others.

The press club reiterated its demand for an impartial and speedy investigation and called on authorities to ensure the safety of journalists across the country.
