In the hills of Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, the forest department has discovered the unexplained body of a wild elephant that was around 70 years old. On March 30, an elephant passed away early on Saturday in the West Leda Hills of Hnila Union in Teknaf.

Sarwar Alam, Divisional Officer of the Cox's Bazar South Forest Department, verified this information.
He told Voice7 News that when employees of the forest department went to the garden, they discovered the elephant's lifeless carcass. Forest officials visited the location later.

The male elephant, estimated to be around 70 years old, whose body was discovered. Old age was the elephant's cause of death, as first reported.
Nevertheless, the elephant is still being buried and samples are being gathered for an autopsy. In this sense, the Teknaf police station will keep a general diary. Following the autopsy, the cause of death will be determined.
