SYLHET, Feb 21 (V7N) – A written complaint has been filed with the Divisional Commissioner alleging various irregularities and abuse of influence by a driver of the Sylhet Government Technical Training Center (TTC).

According to the complaint submitted on February 19, 2026, Kazi Md. Billal Hossain, a driver of Sylhet TTC, has been serving at the same workplace for nearly two decades and is accused of exercising undue influence within the institution.

The complaint was filed by General Secretary Zubair Ahmed on behalf of the Sylhet Citizens’ Rights Council. It alleged that the driver has built a strong network of influence over the years and has been involved in various irregular activities, including alleged interference in institutional matters.

The written allegation states that Sylhet TTC plays a significant role in reducing unemployment in the expatriate-dominated Sylhet region, but a section of officials and employees have allegedly dominated the institution for a long time.

It was further alleged that Kazi Billal Hossain has been working continuously at the institution since 2006 and maintained his position through political influence during the previous government period. The complaint also claims that he has accumulated significant assets, including a house in the South Surma area and multiple auto-rickshaws and businesses in his and his family members’ names.

The complaint also mentioned allegations of misconduct, misuse of authority and maintaining a syndicate among some staff members around the TTC office area.

Additionally, it was claimed that his wife has also been working at the same institution for a long period.

The Sylhet Citizens’ Rights Council has demanded his transfer from Sylhet in the public interest and called for an investigation into the allegations.

However, no official statement from the Sylhet Government Technical Training Center authorities or the accused driver was immediately available regarding the allegations.
