Cox's Bazar, Jan 12 (V7N)— A one-day conference titled "Developing English Teaching Strategies in Multilingual Classrooms" was held at Cox's Bazar International University on Thursday. The event was jointly organized by the US Embassy and Global Aid for Sustainable Development (GASD).
More than 150 English teachers from the Chittagong Hill Tracts region and the Rohingya community participated in the conference, which aimed to equip educators with innovative strategies to address the challenges of multilingual classrooms.
Dhaka's Acting Public Affairs Officer, Scott Hartman, attended the event as the chief guest. In his address, Hartman emphasized the importance of inclusive education and the role of English teachers in bridging linguistic and cultural gaps.
The initiative sought to empower teachers with tools and techniques to foster effective learning environments, ensuring better educational outcomes for diverse student populations.
The conference concluded with interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions, leaving participants inspired and better prepared to handle the complexities of multilingual classrooms.
