Dhaka, Feb 20 (V7N) –Students of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) staged a Red Card demonstration on campus, protesting against all political student organizations, including Chhatra Dal, Chhatra League, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Chhatra Shibir, Chhatra Union and the Kuet administration on Thursday.

At 12pm, students gathered at Durbar Bangla Square, displaying red cards and chanting slogans.

They also demanded the resignation of the vice-chancellor.

Protesters carried placards with slogans demanding an end to student politics at Kuet, asserting that the campus should be for students, not political agendas.

They rejected the presence of Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir, saying "No discrimination—only students."

They chanted other slogans such as "We want knowledge, not political damage", "Student blood is shed while the administration remains indifferent","Expel all those involved", "No political agents—only students", "Who are you? Who am I? We are all Abrar"," Abu Sayeed Mugdha—the fight is not over","Pull the rope, bring him down—the VC must resign."

During the protest, students asserted that those involved in the recent attacks, particularly from Chhatra Dal, must face permanent expulsion.

They also demanded an amendment to the university ordinance that currently bans student politics, ensuring that no court ruling could reinstate such political rights on campus.
