Fighting Between the Arakan Army (AA) and junta forces in Rakhine, Myanmar, Continues There are frequent gunshots between the two factions as a result of the ongoing fighting in Myanmar. A few days later, in the border areas of Whykong and Hnila in Teknaf, Bangladesh, the people heard gunfire and mortar rounds fired sporadically from Myanmar. 
 
A loud sound of mortar rounds could be heard from Myanmar on Wednesday, April 3, around 3 p.m. near the border of Moulovi Para, Wabrang, Chowdhury Para, and Kharankhali Hnila Union of Teknaf's Whykong Union. One may still sometimes hear mortar shells.
 
 
Journalist Arafat Sani, who lives near the Teknaf border, reported that he heard the sound of mortar rounds firing loudly around 12:10 PM in Bangladesh near the Myanmar border.
 
Over the phone, Hnila Union Parishad Chairman Rashed Mahamud Ali informed Voice7 News that there haven't been any gunfire or mortar shells coming from the opposite side of Myanmar in a few days. Residents along the border were alerted when they heard mortar rounds coming from all around Myanmar at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
