Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) – President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today administered oath to four ministers and two state ministers in a ceremony at Bangabhaban.
The newly appointed ministers are BNP Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan MP, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashiduzzaman Millat MP, Saching Prue Jerry (Parliament Member from Bandarban), and Chairman of Bangladesh National Party (BJP) Andaleeve Rahman Partho MP.
The two state ministers are Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir and Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln, Parliament Member from Gaibandha-4 constituency.
President Mirza Fakhrul first administered the oath of office and later administered the oath of secrecy to the newly appointed ministers and state ministers.
The ceremony marks one of the first official functions of the newly elected President, who was declared the 23rd President of Bangladesh on August 20. The appointments expand the current cabinet as the government continues to implement its development agenda.
