Chattogram, Nov 7,  (V7N) – Customs officials at Shah Amanat International Airport seized 1,300 units of the banned "Fresh & White Beauty Cream" from the luggage of a passenger arriving from Dubai.

The creams weigh 40 kilograms in total, with an estimated market value of Taka 8 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate found the creams after scanning the luggage of one Mohammad Zahed, a passenger on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-148 from Dubai. The officials had been stationed at the airport since the morning.

Customs Intelligence said they seized the cosmetics for violating the current import policy — the "Import Policy Order 2026-2029." Surveillance at the airport continues in order to keep such products, which pose a risk to public health, from entering the country and reaching the market.

The Directorate said it is committed to protecting public health and that similar operations will continue to stop the illegal import of harmful products, including hazardous face creams.
