Dhaka, Oct 21 (V7N) – Sarjis Alam, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, made a sharp critique of President Md. Sahabuddin, stating that if he fails to maintain records of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation letter, the student community will take action. He made these remarks during a round table discussion on state reform organized by Islamic Andolan at the BMA Building in the capital on Monday.

Addressing the political landscape, Sarjis Alam criticized the Jatiya Party, describing it as a "conscienceless" entity for supporting the Awami League, which he labeled as a "fascist" party. "There is no reason to discuss them at the political table," he stated, dismissing any relevance of the Jatiya Party in the ongoing political discourse.

Sarjis Alam further pointed out that although there have been efforts to reform the political system, the presence of fascist elements has not yet been eliminated from the country. He expressed concern over the activities of various "agencies and nefarious circles" attempting to create instability. "We will resist them," he announced, reaffirming the determination of the student movement to oppose any attempts to destabilize the nation.

The round table discussion, which focused on state reform, highlighted growing concerns among student activists about the current political situation and the ongoing influence of what they describe as authoritarian elements within the government.
