In a joyous mood, voting is taking place in six Rajshahi constituencies. Nothing unfavorable came from any seat. Voting commenced at 8 a.m. Polling continues nonstop till 4 p.m. On a hazy January morning, voter turnout was decent at voting places. Voter turnout in villages has been seen to be higher than in cities.

At each center, law enforcement officers are in charge. Also on the field are the Army, BGB, and RAB.

There are 41 contenders running in Rajshahi's six constituencies. Ten candidates are running in Rajshahi-1, seven in Rajshahi-2, six in Rajshahi-3, six in Rajshahi-4, six in Rajshahi-5, and six in Rajshahi-6.

The Rajshahi district has 21,77,714 registered voters overall. A total of 770 polling places exist. There are 10 lakh 84 thousand 730 male voters among them. 10 lakh 92 thousand 296 women are registered to vote. Eighteen people vote in the third gender. Four thousand 963 polling places are available. Rajshahi is home to 72 unions spread across six constituencies, 14 municipalities, and 9 upazilas. The Rajshahi-2 seat is located in the city corporation among them.
