In a resounding demonstration of civic engagement, the honorable Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, Obaidul Quader, has hailed the robust turnout of voters in the Basurhat Municipality elections, effectively debunking attempts to thwart the democratic process.

Minister Quader, a key figure in the Awami League, conveyed his optimism to the press after casting his vote at the Udayan Pre-Cadet Academy polling station in Basurhat. At precisely 11:00 AM on Sunday morning, he emphasized the futility of impeding the act of voting, asserting that the exercise of this fundamental right remains unstoppable.

Earlier at 11:15 AM, Minister Quader exercised his franchise in the 12th National Assembly elections at the Udayan Pre-Cadet Academy center in Ward No. 1 of Bara Rajapur village. He noted with satisfaction the active participation of a significant number of voters, creating an atmosphere of jubilation at the polling station.

Highlighting the undeniable evidence of the electorate's overwhelming support, Minister Quader remarked that the current display of civic duty unmistakably repudiates the opposition, particularly the BNP and its allies. The prevailing ambiance of joy and serenity in Bangladesh is attributed to the spontaneous endorsement of the democratic process by the people, signifying a triumph over disruptive elements.

The minister's brother, Abdul Quader Mirza, who holds esteemed positions as Upazila Awami League Chief and Basurhat Municipality Mayor, played a crucial role in mobilizing a diverse assembly of voters. The assembly comprised esteemed leaders and dedicated members of Upazila Awami League and their affiliated associations.
