The event was organized by the Rangamati municipal unit of Jamaat-e-Islami. Key speakers included district Ameer Professor Abdul Alim, Nayeb-e-Ameer Md. Jahangir Alam, Secretary Maulana Mansur, party leaders Advocate Harunur Rashid, Workers Welfare Federation President Advocate Abdus Salam, General Secretary Advocate Zillur Rahman, Advocate Rahmat Ullah, Islami Chhatra Shibir President Md. Robiul Islam, and Secretary Irfanul Haque, among others.

The gathering was moderated by Advocate Rahmat Ullah.

During the speeches, party leaders expressed gratitude to Allah for what they termed as liberation from fascist rule on this day last year. However, they emphasized that their struggle is far from over. They asserted that the fight would continue until the nation is fully free from extortion, corruption, and oppression.

The speakers referred to the victims of the July movement as “jewels of the nation” and criticized the current government under Yunus for allegedly failing to rehabilitate those injured in the uprising. They demanded comprehensive medical support, including treatment abroad for the injured, and called for the establishment of a just state system that would eliminate extortion, injustice, and all forms of corruption.

They further criticized the government's performance in local elections, claiming that people had hoped for improvements in public services through elected representation, but were left disappointed. According to Jamaat leaders, real change and national liberation are only possible through their political platform.

The event concluded with a pledge to continue the movement against what they called fascism and extortion, encouraging supporters to remain united in their struggle.
