Pabna, Oct 23 (V7N) — Principal Maulana Iqbal Hossain, Naib-e-Ameer of Pabna District Jamaat-e-Islami and the party’s candidate for Pabna-5 (Sadar) constituency, stated that Bangladeshi expatriates across various countries wish to see Jamaat-e-Islami in state power, believing that “Bangladesh is safe under Jamaat’s leadership.”

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday afternoon at Ataikula College Field in Pabna, he said, “Expatriates around the world have observed different political parties over the past 54 years, but now they want Jamaat to lead the nation. Many have already planned to return home before the next election to cast their votes. Those unable to travel due to visa complications will vote from abroad under special government arrangements.”

Maulana Iqbal Hossain returned to Bangladesh on Wednesday after more than a week-long campaign among expatriate communities in Singapore, Malaysia, and several other countries.

Upon his arrival in Pabna, hundreds of activists gathered with a large motorcycle procession to welcome him at Ataikula College Field. The rally moved from Pabna Terminal through Abdul Hamid Road and Gachpara Mor, ending at the gate of Darul Aman Trust, where supporters greeted him enthusiastically.

Local Jamaat leaders present at the event included Pabna District Secretary Professor Abdul Gaffar, Pabna Municipal Ameer Abdul Latif, District Labor Welfare Federation President Rezaul Karim, Municipal Secretary Zakir Hossain, Assistant Secretary Ikram Hossain, and Sadar Upazila Secretary Ibrahim Khalil Ainul, among others.
