Sirajganj, Jan 24 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman assured full security for women and pledged anti-corruption reforms at an election rally held at Islamia College ground on Saturday.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasized that Jamaat women will face no obstacles in participating in public and political life, promising 100% safety for them. He also highlighted the party’s plan to recover looted money and fight corruption, saying, “If corruption is stopped and stolen money is brought back, the face of the country will change. Jamaat will build a corruption-free Bangladesh.”

During the rally, the Jamaat Ameer introduced candidates of the 10-party alliance for different constituencies in Sirajganj and urged voters to support the alliance. He also promised to revive Sirajganj’s weaving industry and restore the navigability of key rivers in the district.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman urged voters to say ‘yes’ in the upcoming referendum, linking it to justice for martyrs and victims of political violence. He said, “‘Yes’ in the referendum means Osman Hadi’s murder will be tried, 1,400 martyrs will receive justice, fascism will not return, and moonshiners will not be tolerated in Bengal.”

Concluding his speech, he appealed to supporters to maintain decorum during the election campaign, saying that while others may criticize or abuse, his supporters should refrain from responding in kind.
