Dhaka, Feb 06 (V7N)- Candidates of the 11-party alliance were actively campaigning in various constituencies of the capital on Friday.

In the Dhanmondi area, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Dhaka-10, Jasimuddin Sarkar, held a public meeting with voters. He alleged that the Election Commission (EC) has failed to ensure a level playing field for all contestants.

National Citizens Party (NCP) candidate for Dhaka-9, Jabed Mia Rasin, held a public meeting after Friday prayers. He claimed that some banners were being cut at night and said a written complaint had been submitted to the administration. Rasin expressed hope for a peaceful election in his constituency.

Meanwhile, 11-party alliance candidate Mamunul Haque, campaigning in Dhaka-13, alleged that banners and festoons were torn down under intimidation. He reaffirmed his determination to continue the struggle to build the Bangladesh of justice envisioned by Shaheed Osman Hadi.
