Dhaka, Sep 14 (V7N) – Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Secretary General Maulana Mamunul Haque emphasized on Saturday that ensuring the protection of all communities is crucial for building a society free from discrimination.

Speaking as the chief guest at a gathering in Bogura, Mamunul stated, “We must uphold the victory achieved by students and citizens in the July-August revolution. No form of violence, including communalism, can be allowed in the country. To build a harmonious society, people from all communities must be provided security.”

In his speech, Mamunul accused former prime minister Sheikh Hasina of conspiring against the country from India. “Sheikh Hasina is plotting a deep conspiracy against Bangladesh, and the people must unite to thwart her plans,” he said, urging citizens to come together to resist her alleged manipulations.

In a controversial statement, Mamunul claimed that the Hindu community is allegedly "exploiting the situation" by destroying their own temples, though he provided no evidence for this assertion. He insisted that such actions would not be tolerated.

“Sheikh Hasina should be brought back to Bangladesh and face trial,” Mamunul added, accusing her of using politics to pursue personal vendettas, specifically mentioning her efforts to try her father’s murderers. He also alleged that innocent people have been unjustly hanged in the name of justice.

He went on to accuse Hasina of laundering vast amounts of money out of the country, calling for its return. Mamunul also called for the trial of other Awami League leaders and urged action to stop violence against innocent citizens along the border. He concluded by stating that everyone must defend the hard-earned freedom of the country.
