NOV 09, V7N-Canadian qualifier Denis Shapovalov delivered a dominant performance on Friday, beating Czech fourth seed Jiri Lehecka 6-2, 6-1 in just 56 minutes to reach the final of the Belgrade Open. Shapovalov, who had not made an ATP Tour final since October 2022, was in excellent form, winning an impressive 96.2% of first-serve points and 83.3% on second returns. His victory marks his first ATP final appearance since 2022, and he will face Serbian wild card Hamad Medjedovic in the final. Medjedovic, ranked No. 156, edged past Laslo Djere in a thrilling semifinal, winning 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(2).

Meanwhile, at the Moselle Open in Metz, Great Britain's Cameron Norrie reached his first final of 2024 after overcoming Frenchman Corentin Moutet 6-2, 7-6(5). Norrie rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the second-set tiebreaker to secure the win. In the other semifinal, French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi fought back from a set down to beat Alex Michelsen 4-6, 6-0, 7-5, saving several match points along the way. Bonzi, who is aiming for his first career ATP title, will have the home crowd on his side in the final.
