Phil Salt played a stunning knock to lead England to an eight-wicket victory over West Indies in their opening T20 at Kensington Oval on Saturday. Salt smashed an unbeaten 103 off 54 balls, including nine fours and six sixes, guiding England to their target of 183 with 19 balls to spare. The century was Salt's third in T20 internationals, and all of them have come against the West Indies in the Caribbean. He was well supported by Barbados-born Jacob Bethell, who finished on 58* off 36 balls, thrilling his friends and family in the stands with his aggressive batting.

Earlier, West Indies posted 182-9, with Andre Russell (30 off 17 balls), Romario Shepherd (35* off 22 balls), and Gudakesh Motie (33 off 14 balls) providing a late flurry of runs. However, England's bowlers, led by Saqib Mahmood (4-34) and Adil Rashid (3-32), kept the West Indies' total in check. The victory in the first game of the five-match series gives England a strong start, and the second match is set to take place on Sunday in Bridgetown.
