Mumbai, Sep 19 (V7N) – Apple’s new iPhone 17 series went on sale in several Indian cities, including Mumbai and Delhi, on Friday morning, triggering long queues of eager buyers—and a chaotic scene at a Mumbai store.

According to local media reports, commotion erupted at the Apple store in Bandra Kurla Complex as buyers jostled for the new devices. Videos from the scene show several people engaging in scuffles and punches, prompting security personnel to intervene.

Customers complained about the lack of order in the queue, saying many had been waiting since dawn and had traveled from other cities. They cited inadequate security measures as a cause of the disorder.

The iPhone 17 series includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the new iPhone Air. The Pro model features an aluminum body, the largest battery ever in an iPhone, and a new full-width camera platform. Pre-orders for the devices had begun earlier this month in various countries.
