Beijing, Sep 17 (V7N)- Xiaomi has released an official teaser for its highly anticipated Xiaomi 18 Pro series, which is expected to launch in China later this month.
The upcoming lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, although Xiaomi has yet to announce an exact launch date.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro has reportedly appeared on the Geekbench 7 benchmarking platform, offering an early look at some of its key specifications.
The device is listed in the Geekbench database with the model number M154FF. The unusual format of the model number has attracted attention among technology enthusiasts, as Xiaomi has traditionally used model-number structures that incorporate year and month-related codes.
According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's upcoming flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The processor is reportedly capable of reaching clock speeds of up to 5.01 GHz.
In preliminary Geekbench 7 testing, the prototype achieved a score of 2,871 points in the single-core test and 8,836 points in the multi-core test.
As the tested handset is believed to be a prototype, its benchmark performance could improve further in the commercial version following hardware and software optimization.
The prototype featured 16GB of RAM and was reportedly running Android 17 with Xiaomi's upcoming HyperOS 4 interface.
Meanwhile, certifications from several regulatory bodies have reportedly indicated that both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will support 100W wired fast charging.
Xiaomi is expected to reveal the full specifications, pricing and availability of the new smartphones through an official announcement in the Chinese market by the end of September.
