Google, September 02 — Millions of people around the world use Gmail, Google's popular email service, not only for personal communication but also for official purposes. To enhance user convenience, Google has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-based feature in the Gmail Android app, designed to help users easily find specific emails and information.

This new feature, which was previously available only on the web version of Google Workspace, has now been rolled out to Android devices, making it accessible via smartphones. However, iPhone users will have to wait a bit longer, as Google plans to launch the feature on iOS devices soon.

The new AI-based tool, known as the "Gemini toolbar," can be accessed from the top right corner of the Gmail app, indicated by a Gemini star symbol. By tapping on this icon, users can take advantage of several advanced search capabilities. The feature allows users to search for specific information contained within emails, locate unread emails, and filter emails from specific senders. It also provides the ability to generate summaries of various emails and search for documents stored in Google Drive. The tool analyzes up to 15 days of data to provide relevant search results.

Currently, this advanced search functionality is available exclusively to paid Google Workspace users. In addition to improved search capabilities, users can also use the Gemini toolbar's "Help Me Write" and "Polish" features to automatically draft new emails tailored to specific individuals or organizations. Users can edit these AI-generated emails and add new information, enabling them to send important emails more efficiently, even when busy.

With these new features, Gmail continues to innovate and improve user experience, ensuring that both personal and professional communications are more seamless and effective.
