Oct 5, V7N- Donald Trump on Friday shared a false endorsement from JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon on his Truth Social platform, suggesting Dimon had endorsed his presidential candidacy. However, a JPMorgan spokesperson quickly refuted the claim, stating that Dimon has not endorsed any candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential race.

Trump's post, which was a repost of another social media item, featured a photograph of Dimon with a misleading headline. Despite the swift clarification from JPMorgan, the post remained up on Trump's Truth Social account as of 1700 GMT.

This is not the first time Trump has shared misleading content. In August, he posted doctored images of pop star Taylor Swift allegedly supporting his campaign. Swift, however, endorsed Trump's opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, and later criticized the spread of misinformation, particularly warning about the dangers of AI-generated content. Swift urged combating misinformation with truth, highlighting the importance of transparency in public discourse.
