Tehran, Nov 26 (V7N) — Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing him as the "butcher of the Middle East." Speaking at a gathering of Iran's volunteer militia force Basij on Monday, Khamenei declared that the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) recent arrest warrant against Netanyahu is insufficient and called for the execution of Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders responsible for war crimes.

“Bombing people's houses is not a victory,” Khamenei stated, referring to Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon. He urged Zionist leaders not to mistake destruction and death for triumph, asserting that the global community does not perceive such actions as victorious.

Khamenei expressed confidence in the resilience of the "resistance front," which he claimed would continue to strengthen despite Israeli and Western actions. He emphasized that Israeli military operations would only galvanize resistance in Gaza, Lebanon, and Palestine.

The Iranian leader accused the United States of fostering chaos and dictatorship in the region to advance its interests. He praised Basij forces for their faith and determination, highlighting these as key to overcoming imperialism.

The ICC recently issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and Hamas military leader Mohammad Deif. The court cited allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity during the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

While Tel Aviv denied the allegations, claiming Deif was killed earlier this year, the warrants have sparked international debate. Khamenei urged stronger action against those he described as criminals responsible for atrocities.

The conflict has drawn starkly divided reactions worldwide. Nations such as Iran, Russia, China, and Bangladesh have condemned Israel's military actions, which have led to over 45,000 Palestinian casualties, including a significant number of women and children. Conversely, countries like the United States and much of Europe continue to support Israel.

The Iranian leader’s speech underscores the heightened tensions and the potential for further escalation in an already volatile Middle East.
