Tehran, Mar 02 (V7N) — The nationwide internet blackout in Iran has crossed 48 hours, leaving most parts of the country with little to no online connectivity, according to a report by Iran International on Monday.
London-based internet monitoring group NetBlocks said data indicates that connectivity across Iran has been “almost completely” shut down, sharply restricting digital services.
The disruption has made it extremely difficult for residents to communicate with relatives abroad, while access to social media, messaging platforms and many online services remains largely unavailable.
Analysts believe the blackout is linked to the ongoing military conflict and heightened political tensions, suggesting authorities may be trying to control information flow during the crisis.
The situation has raised concerns among digital rights observers, who warn that prolonged communication disruptions could further isolate civilians and complicate humanitarian coordination.
