Ugandan judge Julia Sebutinde has sparked discussion on Israel's stance on the issue of Israel's genocide in Gaza under all the guidelines of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). In a report on Friday (January 26), Qatar-based news media Al Jazeera reported this information.

According to the report, ICJ judges took part in the voting at the United Nations Supreme Court in The Hague, Netherlands on Friday. 15 of the panel of judges voted in favor of the directive. There were 2 people against. One of the two opposed everything. Another agreed with two points. Judges voted against panel members Aharon Barak of Israel and Julia Sebutinde of Uganda.

Joan Dunehue, a US citizen, is the president of ICJ's panel of judges. And the vice president is Kirill Gevorgyan of Russia.

There are 13 permanent members of the judging panel from 13 countries. The countries are Slovakia, France, Morocco, Somalia, China, Uganda, India, Jamaica, Lebanon, Japan, Germany, Australia and Brazil. In this case, two persons from the plaintiff South Africa and the defendant Israel were added to the panel of judges as ad hoc in this case.

There is an analysis discussion about why Julia is having such an attitude. Julia became the first African woman to become a member of the International Court of Justice panel of judges in 2012. Currently, he is performing this duty in the second phase.
