Baghdad, Sep 13 (V7N)- Resistance groups from across the Middle East are preparing a coordinated military operation against Israel and its allies in response to the ongoing conflict and what they call the "genocide" in the Gaza Strip. The Popular Mobilization Unit (PMF) of Iraq has confirmed that several organizations have already united to plan the joint operation.

Speaking on Thursday, Abu Ala Al-Wale, Secretary General of the Sayed Ash-Shuhada Brigade, a faction of the PMF, stated, “We will witness joint military operations against Israel and its allies in the coming days." While details regarding the timing and method of the operations were not disclosed, the announcement signals a potential escalation in the regional conflict.

Al-Wale also expressed solidarity with Yemen, citing his voluntary role under Ansarullah leader Sayed Abdul Malik al-Houthi during the aggression against Yemen. He praised the resilience of both the Yemeni people and those in Gaza, calling their struggle "legendary."

Reflecting on the broader regional conflict, Al-Wale highlighted the significance of the Hamas-led "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation against Israel on October 7 last year, describing it as a turning point in the war. He claimed the operation marked the beginning of a new chapter, with the ultimate goals of freeing Gaza and liberating Palestinian prisoners.

The remarks come amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes and ground assaults on Gaza, which followed the large-scale Hamas operation in 2023. The violence has resulted in the deaths of over 40,000 Palestinians, including women and children, and more than 100,000 have been injured, according to reports.

Regional political organizations, including those from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen, have condemned the Israeli actions and declared their intention to retaliate. Analysts speculate that Iran may join the anticipated joint operation against Israel, further heightening tensions in the region.
