New York, Sep 27 (V7N) – Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to present his vision of a new Bangladesh to the international community during his address at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday. His speech will highlight the government's initiatives aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the people, particularly the youth.

Scheduled to speak between 10 AM and 11:30 AM New York time (8 PM to 9:30 PM Bangladesh time), Prof Yunus will deliver his remarks in Bangla. The address is expected to be a pivotal moment, focusing on the recent youth-led uprising in Bangladesh and reforms designed to promote economic stability and a just future for all.

Prof Yunus’s presence at the UNGA offers a chance to share the government's transformative priorities and seek international cooperation in strengthening the nation’s economy. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain stressed that Prof Yunus’s global stature ensures his speech will resonate with world leaders.

The speech is expected to touch on Bangladesh’s peacekeeping role, climate change, the Rohingya crisis, and the challenges developing countries face. It is viewed as a crucial step in presenting a new, justice-oriented Bangladesh to the global stage. Prof Yunus will also attend several key meetings before returning to Dhaka on Friday night.
