Khagrachari June 16,(V7N)- During Eid, Khagrachari sees a steady stream of tourists. Welcoming this influx, the entertainment spots in Khagrachari are adorned in vibrant colors, beckoning nature lovers. The winding, undulating black asphalt roads through the lush green hills captivate everyone. 
 
In the valleys surrounded by wave-like hills, with a panorama of endless greenery, the banks of the Chengi River adorned with autumnal reeds, and the silver touch of the moon and sun, Khagrachari, the queen of nature, stands out. Just one to one-and-a-half hours from Chittagong or five to six hours from Dhaka, you’ll reach Khagrachari district’s Manikchari Upazila and Ramgarh Upazila.

Upon entering, you will see countless green trees, hills, and wildlife on both sides. Notable tourist spots include Alutila Tourism Center, the mysterious cave, District Council Park, Panchhari Aranya Kutir, Debota Pond, Taiduchhara Waterfall, tea gardens, hill agricultural research centers, Baghaihat 10th Waterfall (Dighinala), Hati Matha Hill, Richang Waterfall, BGB birthplace (Ramgarh), Jal Pahar (Matiranga), and the rubber dam (Panchhari). The New Zealand-like greenery of the district headquarters captivates everyone.
 
The Alutila Tourism Center is a remarkable scenic spot in Khagrachari, situated atop a 1,000-foot hill, offering a panoramic view of the entire city. Nearby, the mysterious cave at the foot of the Alutila hill, unique in the world, intrigues tourists. The Richang Waterfall, two kilometers from the Alutila Tourism Center, with its cascading waters from 30-35 feet, is a natural marvel.

The District Council Park, a recent addition to Khagrachari's tourism, features a replica of Rangamati's hanging bridge. The Debota Pond, another noteworthy site, sits 1,500 feet above sea level. The Taiduchhara Waterfall, located in Dighinala Upazila, is a mesmerizing spot with three smaller waterfalls and two stunning cascades.
 
Sajek Valley, in the southeastern region bordering Mizoram, India, is known for its natural beauty, featuring Ruilui and Konglak hills. This area, accessible via a road built by the army’s 19th ECB, offers breathtaking views and a blend of sky and mountain.

The district also hosts the Hill Agricultural Research Center, a century-old banyan tree, the elephant-head-shaped hill, and Panchhari's peaceful Aranyakutir. Additionally, tourists flock to Ramgarh’s border tea gardens and various other scenic locations.
 
Khagrachari’s Deputy Commissioner, Md. Shahiduzzaman, emphasizes the district's potential for tourism, highlighting the numerous hotels, resorts, and the presence of tourist police to ensure safety.
