Barcelona, Oct 21 (V7N)— La Liga resumed with a bang as FC Barcelona, under the management of Hansi Flick, maintained their winning momentum by demolishing Sevilla 5-1 at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys. Robert Lewandowski and Toure each netted twice, with Pedri scoring the remaining goal to secure the emphatic victory.

Barcelona dominated from the outset, controlling possession and keeping Sevilla on the back foot. Lewandowski opened the scoring early, setting the tone for the night. Pedri doubled the lead soon after with a precise finish, and just before halftime, Lewandowski struck again, achieving a significant career milestone. With 366 goals, the Polish striker now ranks third in goals across Europe’s top five leagues, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

In the second half, Rafinha seemed to have extended the lead, but his goal was ruled offside. Barca’s patience paid off in the 82nd minute when Toure made it 4-0. Although Sevilla managed to score a consolation goal, Toure found the net again, sealing a dominant 5-1 win for the Catalans.

With this victory, Barcelona moved three points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table. Barca now sit at 27 points after 10 matches, while Real Madrid have 24. Atlético Madrid is third with 20 points.

This result strengthens Barcelona's position in the title race and puts further pressure on their rivals as they continue their excellent run in the league.
