Nov 04, V7N- Mohamed Salah has ignited speculation about his future at Liverpool with a cryptic social media post following his game-winning performance in Liverpool's 2-1 victory over Brighton. Salah, whose contract expires at the end of this season, posted on X that reaching the top of the Premier League is "where this club belongs," and expressed a poignant sentiment, saying, "No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like."

With his contract situation up in the air, Salah will be free to negotiate with non-English clubs starting in January. His recent comments have heightened uncertainty as Liverpool’s top scorer this season has yet to receive a new contract offer, reportedly earning around £350,000 ($453,000) per week. Earlier in the season, after Liverpool’s win over Manchester United, Salah hinted at the lack of communication from the club, saying, "it could be the last time" he plays at certain venues.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has downplayed concerns, saying the contract situations of Salah, as well as defenders Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold—who are also nearing the end of their deals—are not issues as long as they continue to perform well. "There are ongoing discussions," Slot said, signaling that Liverpool's focus remains on maintaining their top form as they pursue another Premier League title.
