The Bangladesh U-16 women's national football team is eagerly anticipating their first match against host Nepal in the SAFF U-16 Women's Championship, set to take place tomorrow (Saturday) at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3.15 pm (BST).
The team is motivated and aiming for victory in their tournament opener, understanding the significance of winning the first match in this format to progress closer to the final. Despite Nepal having home advantage and the support of local crowds, Bangladesh's main focus is on how the players will handle the pressure while executing their tactics, as stated by head coach Saiful Bari Titu during the team's practice session.
Right winger Sathi expressed confidence in the team's preparation, stating that all players are in good shape and eager to perform their best in the match. Team manager Amirul Islam Babu echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the team's strong attitude and readiness to face the challenge.
Despite Nepal hosting the match, Babu believes the team is well-prepared to emerge victorious. Bangladesh, previous champions of the SAFF championship in 2017, will also face strong opponents India on March 5 and Bhutan on March 8 in the league matches, with the final scheduled for March 10. All matches will be held at the ANFA Complex.
