Renowned surfing legend Kelly Slater expressed feelings of finality on Tuesday after being eliminated from a competition in Australia and effectively losing his spot on the global surfing circuit. Slater, who is often considered the best professional surfer in history, shared his sentiments by stating, "this marks the conclusion." The 52-year-old U.S. athlete, who has won 11 world championships, aimed to compete in the upcoming Olympics in Paris but fell short of qualifying. "This appears to be the conclusion," he commented upon being knocked out of a World Surf League competition at Margaret River, near Perth. "All good things must come to a close," Slater continued, showing his emotions clearly. Those who do not adjust to change will not be able to endure. "I have been lacking the drive to give my full effort like others are currently doing."
