On Wednesday, April 24, saw the start of the Baisakhi mela, which is the traditional Jabbar's bali (wrestling) game fo Laldighi Maidan in Chattogram City's.
Tomorrow, April 25, in the afternoon, is the scheduled 115th edition of the classic Jabbar's bali game.
Shopkeepers from outlying districts have come together to commemorate this event, setting up thousands of items within a three-kilometer radius of Laldighi and its environs.
A three-day Baisakhi fair is held each year around the Balikhela (wrestling tournament) on April 25, which is Baisakh's 12th. Along the route from Kotwali to Cinepalace and Andarkilla, business owners, vendors, and shopkeepers from outlying districts set up stalls for these three days.
Fair items will be sold until all available supply runs out.
The Jabbar's Bali Game Fair has been a noteworthy occasion for more than thirty years, drawing dealers from all across the nation. In an effort to make this year's fair prosperous, they bring a variety of goods, including hand fans, flutes, toys, jewellery, plant seeds, and various candies, in addition to home necessities.

A Bakshir Haat trader named Abdul Jabbar created the Bali game in 1909 to encourage young people to join the anti-British campaign. Ever since, the 12th of Baisakh has been the annual day for the Baisakhimelas and the Jabbar Bali Games.
