Pacer Mustafizur Rahman became the first Bangladeshi bowler to claim a six-wicket haul in a T20 International, leading his side to a decisive 10-wicket victory over the USA in the third and final match at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston, Texas, on Saturday. This win helped Bangladesh avoid a series whitewash after losing the first game by five wickets and the second by six runs.

Mustafizur's remarkable bowling performance saw him take six wickets for just 10 runs in his four overs, restricting the hosts to 104-9. The USA, resting four of their first-choice players including captain Monank Patel, struggled against Mustafizur’s exceptional spell.

Bangladesh comfortably chased down the target in just 11.4 overs, finishing at 108 without loss. Tanzid Hasan Tamim continued his impressive form with an unbeaten 58 off 42 balls, featuring five fours and three sixes. Soumya Sarkar supported him well with a quick 43 off 28 balls, including four fours and two sixes.

Initially, USA appeared to be on track for another surprising victory when Andries Gous aggressively attacked the Bangladeshi bowlers, scoring 27 off 15 balls. However, Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Gous, which opened the door for Mustafizur's devastating spell. Mustafizur quickly dismantled the USA batting lineup, supported by leg-spinner Rishad Hossain who bowled economically with figures of 4-1-7-1. Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Shakib Al Hasan also contributed with one wicket each.

Shayan Jahangir and Corey Anderson were the only other notable scorers for the USA, each contributing 18 runs.
