A prominent Bangladeshi medical association, the Swadhinata Chikitsa Parishad (SwaChIP), is calling for increased focus on rural healthcare and stronger collaboration between medical professionals and the government.
 
The Swadhinata Chikitsa Parishad (SwaChIP), a prominent medical association in Bangladesh, convened a conference on Sunday (May 19) at 11 a.m., for the districts of Rajshahi, Chapai Nawabganj, Natore, and Naogaon. Held at the Rajshahi Medical College Auditorium, the event drew a distinguished crowd of medical professionals, government officials, and political leaders.
 
The conference was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Bir Muktijoddha Dr. Mustafa Jalal Mahinuddin, a Presidium Member of the Bangladesh Awami League, President of the Bangladesh Medical Association, and Founding General Secretary of SwaChIP. He was joined by the distinguished Inaugural Guest, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, a Presidium Member of the Bangladesh Awami League and the esteemed Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation.
 
The day commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag and the SwaChIP flag. A moment of respectful silence was observed in remembrance of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his martyred family members, the valiant national four leaders, and the countless martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Great Liberation War. Following this, the esteemed chief guest, the honorable inaugural guest, and other esteemed dignitaries were warmly welcomed with flower bouquets.
 
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Md. Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, the President of the SwaChIP Central Executive Committee. A series of prominent figures also addressed the gathering, including Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan Milon, the General Secretary of the SwaChIP Central Committee; Professor Dr. Md. Mustafa Alam Nannu, MP for Bogra-7; Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Aziz, MP for Sirajganj-3; Dr. Siddiqur Rahman Patwary, MP for Natore-4; Dr. Samil Uddin Ahmed Shimul, MP for Chapai Nawabganj-1; and Dr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Nazmul Haq (Sagar), MP for Meherpur-2.
 
The speeches emphasized the pivotal role SwaChIP plays in delivering medical services across Bangladesh, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
