Balochistan, Sep 29 (V7N) — At least seven labourers were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Khuda-e-Abadan area of Pakistan's Balochistan province, police confirmed on Saturday. The victims, all residents of Punjab, were living in a house where the attackers broke in and opened fire. One additional worker was injured in the incident.

The Deputy Commissioner of Panchgur confirmed the tragic event and stated that the injured worker has been taken to Panchgur District Hospital for treatment. Local police have launched a search operation to apprehend the assailants.

The brutal attack has drawn widespread condemnation across Pakistan. President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the killings, labelling them as a "brutal and reprehensible act" targeting innocent civilians.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also expressed strong condemnation, stating, "We are determined to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the soil of Pakistan." Authorities are working to investigate the incident and ensure justice is served.
